Volunteer
There are many diverse ways to serve, volunteer and share your talents with CFPC.
Worship-Related Opportunities:
- Greeters/Ushers: Welcome people, distribute bulletins, and guide attendees.
- Sound and Media Technicians: Manage sound systems, run projectors, and assist with livestreaming.
- Musicians: Play instruments or sing in choirs or ensembles.
- Scripture Readers/Liturgists: Lead prayers and read scripture during services.
- Communion Servers: Help distribute communion elements.
Congregational Care:
- Visitation Teams: Visit members who are sick, homebound, or in nursing homes.
- Prayer Groups: Participate in and/or lead prayer groups.
- Meal Ministry: Prepare and deliver meals to those in need.
- Childcare Volunteers: Care for children during worship services.
- Sunday School Teachers: Teach children or adults about the Bible and Christian faith.
- Summer Vacation Bible School: Assists with activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment for children.
- Administrative Support: Assist with tasks like mailings, phone calls, or data entry.
Community Outreach:
- Food Pantry Volunteers: Organize and distribute food to those in need.
- Church Grounds/Community Garden Volunteers: Tend to church grounds, plant flowers, weeding, gardens and potentially donate produce.
- Mission Trips: Participate in short-term or long-term missions to help communities locally or globally.
Other Misc. Opportunities:
- Facility Maintenance: Help with cleaning, repairs, or yard work.
- Event Planning: Assist with organizing church events and social gatherings.
- Fundraising: Participate in fundraising activities to support church ministries.
- Crafting/Sewing: Create items for donation or for church decorations.
- Skill/Talent Sharing:
- Offer classes or workshops on skills you possess (e.g., cooking, art, music, woodworking, personal finances, eldercare documentation).
